Yucca Species, Joshua Tree (Yucca brevifolia)

Photo taken Christmas Day 1999 in the Mojave desert.

This tree could be up to 2-300 years old. It is about 25 feet tall. It seems to have a lot of seedlings around her.

This one is in Pioneertown, about 6 miles west of Joshua Tree. Notice the more lush appearance, a little stubbier than some.

This is a different sub species found in Utah. They are very similar but shorter thatn the ones found in California.
