This rare plant is now 3-25-2011 blooming in the Van Nuys area . If ANYONE wants to see it or cross pollenate the Spear Lily to make them produce seeds please email me ASAP.

The flowering stalk - called a scape - can grow to 5m tall

Flowering now in Spring, it can take up to 13 years to flower - worth the waiting!

Two weeks late, and still flowering strongly
