Heliotropium Species, Cherry Pie Flower, Common Heliotrope, Garden Heliotrope (Heliotropium arborescens)

Beautiful, fragrant blooms appear in clusters on this tender perennial in Zones 9-11 and annual in cooler zones. (San Antonio, Tx.)

Heliotrope flowers and leaves. If only there was a way to photograph the smell!

Tender perennial here in z5, but this sweetly fragrant lovely is a must have in a pot on our porch every year! Like a huge magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.

Nice close-up of the leaves, and a flower head just beginning to form
