Verbascum, Hybrid Mullein, Ornamental Mullein, Showy Mullein 'Southern Charm Mix' (Verbascum)

First year bloom early May, Zone 5b/6a. Planted last fall.

Leaves are bigger than my hand.

Nice spikey accent for the garden.

This is first year growth from seed. Can't wait until next year!

A closeup showing several shades on the same bloom stalk.

First year from seed...delicate, silky appearing blossoms

Blooms early and full. Love it!

Summer, 2006 third year from seed

Second year plants already blooming May 1st.

awesome flowers..at leat 3 yrs. here in Northern N.H...

I’m a firm believer in Verbascums for every garden & I love ‘Southern Charm’ not only for its mix of sophisticated colors, but because it’s super simple to grow & almost everblooming.

These gentle blooms personify Southern Charm in the perennial garden.
