Gold Dust with sun damage and without (sun exposure and no sun. what can be done to protect but not move them?

Planted in deep shade where the leaves are much greener than those in partial shade, wilts in freezing weather but rebounds when it warms up, requires little care, 18 year old plant (San Antonio, Tx.)
