Aloe Species (Aloe buettneri)

small plant I just purchased- no spots!

southern California

part of potted plant, southern California

winter flower, southern California

potted plant showing nice coloration during winter, and blooming, too

plant grows well in all landscape situations I have tried it in so far.

nice winter color, southern CAlifornia

This entire plant is the consistency of melting snow, after a freeze of 27F last week... every A congolensis in the yard was similarly mushed... wimpy species!

large plant in photos above (including one showing cold damage) 2 years later- basically died back to roots... but obviously recovered!

same pot 2 years later

and same plant 2012... starting to grow out of pot and reach the ground

private garden in southern California blooming in May
