Ceratostigma Species, Blue Leadwood, Hardy Blue Plumbago, Leadwort (Ceratostigma plumbaginoides)

Just starting to bloom in mid-July. Blooms consistently through mid-fall here in zone 6b; foliage will become red with cooler temps

Flowers continue into fall foliage season

Hardy Plumbago

Excellent ground cover which starts blooming when the summer bloomimg plants start to decline. The blue is much more vibrant than I could capture with my digital camera.(San Antonio, Tx.)

This plant has a good true blue flower. It can grow in sun or shade.

Sickly plant replanted in a new flower box, and WOW!

Starting fall foliage colours

Last bloom of the year for this. Was hoping for red leaves at the same time as flowers.

Taken 4/4. Not taken care of by previous owner, looks like it's got plenty of potential though.

amazing color

Great groundcover for this zone 5 grower....one of the last plants to come up in the spring.
