Catkins come in pink, change to gray then are followed by these tiny yellow flowers.
Trunk and branches start off being round in shape.
Branches begin to flatten out and darken in color.
Branch that is aging and changing color as it starts to take on it's more flat shape.
Branches take on all sort of weird shapes, giving the shrub it's common names.
I had to pollard the tree to get nice fans each year, I'm tired, so I painted it blue.
