Fern Leaf Peony, Double Fernleaf Peony, hybrid species cross 'Plena' (Paeonia tenuifolia)

Mid May, northern zone 3.

I found this plant five years ago abandoned in the same pot. I haven't done anything to it yet... in fact, just identified it through this site today! It has thrived just fine with little to no care. (Since it looked so pretty after being ignored when I found it, I didn't want to mess it up!)

Seedpods! July 15, 2005

Fern Leaf Peony in 2004. These divisions have grown considerably and will try dividing again this fall.

This was taken early in the morning while I was doing my paper route and I fell in love with it

New Buds in Early Spring

Emerging in spring; late April, northern zone 3.

This was in bloom here in Ohio on April 13th. The owner said for years it was small, then one summer he cut it down and the next it grew full and bloomed.
