Close-up of leaf

This is a young plant leaf is blue-green center in spring changing to dark green by mid-summer. Wide margins change from light green in spring to chartreuse in mid summer.

This pix taken in my garden note flower bud forming in center.

This is one of my favorites note leaf and bloom

This mature Frances Williams shows the different color and texture a established plant can have.

This Frances Williams is in it's second growing season. So far I have had no problems with it's ability to just look marvelous!

Specimen growing on the north side of my house. Planted from nursery stock two years ago.

Specimen planted two years ago. Beautiful blue color.

The leaves get quite large in good soil, and have a beautiful seersucker puckering to them.

Late April, 2004. Ferns make a wonderful companion plant for hostas...I have Maidenhair and Broad beech ferns by this one.

A close relative to H. Francis Williams.

Frances Williams is the star of my hosta collection. Mary from Gainesville, GA

Frances Williams in its 1st year....I really love this one!!!

The nice substance of these leaves make them much more slug resistant, so nice here in the Pacific NW, and many other places too I'm sure!!
