Crocosmia 'Lucifer' (Crocosmia)

I planted the lucifer two years ago. Last year didn't see it but sure came up this year.

This is one plant of several and got lots of blooms.

This is a closeup of Crocosmia "Lucifer." Hummingbirds love it. DottieJean

When dried each pod contains 8-20 seeds

Along the northern coast of Oregon they last in flower for much of the summer

Crocosmia "Bulbs" (Really corms, I think.)

Crocosmia buds resemble a sort of grass stalk:

Lucifer is attractive while in bloom. Hummers love them as you can see in this photo.

Bumble bees and hummingbirds seek nourishment from the flowers. Deer ignore the plant.
