Dianthus, Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus)

May 2002

May, 2002 in Tennessee

May 2002, mix of colors.

Sweet William Spring 2004 - Hawkinsville GA

My first dianthus!

Dianthus barbatus near the end of flowering.

Dianthus barbatus...a colour to die for...

Purchased as 'Mixed Colors' in a seed packet, I have been very happy with the resulting plants.

Unknown cultivar but oh so pretty! Blooming mid-Apr '06.

In part shade, early May, Zone 8.

A very sweet little William.

I wish I could upload the fragrance too!

Started from a red seed pack, formed low clumps of foliage first year, sent up 2 1/2 ft flowers stalks second.

Mix of different colors.
