Definition of southern grasses

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

Also known as warm season grasses, these are grown in zones 6 or warmer, and include Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede and St. Augustine grasses. These grasses grow and provide a green lawn during the hottest months, as opposed to cool season grasses which die or go dormant during the hottest months, but grow from fall through spring.
