1. A stake inserted in the soil next to a plant in a pot and used to tie the plant to in order to either hold it up until the trunk grows stronger, keep it from breaking before it's planted in the ground, or to simply give a vining plant something to grow up.

2. A rigid plant information label that's inserted next to a plant, in the soil in a pot.
