Definition of cold composting

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

A slow composting technique where the compost pile doesn't get hot and the material takes longer to break down. Some gardeners believe that cold composting produces a compost that is higher in nutrients; however, it also doesn't kill the weed seeds and pathogens that hot composting does; see also leaf mould
