Definition of escaped plant

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

A cultivated plant that has begun growing wild through volunteer seedlings or unchecked growth. Some plants escaped cultivation so long ago, they are now considered common roadside plants or wildflowers; others are garden thugs and are posing a real threat to the native plants - common examples of the latter include kudzu and purple loosestrife.
