Hundreds of years old these roses are known for their many petals, vigor and fragrance. The shorter Centifolias which are less vigorous produce double flowers on a very balanced plant.

These are old hybrids involving the Alba roses that make open shrubs with thorny stems and large, usually double, fragrant flowers. Prune immediately after flowering.
