Definition of predatory insect

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by shakemh:

An insect that serves as a gardening helpmate in this case, to devour detrimental insects, e.g.
lacewings and ladybugs to dine on aphids. However, there are those borderline ones who also devour beneficial insects, e.g., praying mantids. These and others are native to most gardens, if not, they can usually be purchased from a bug farm.
