A plant that forms a mycorrhiza that in turns, forms a mutualistic association with a second mycorrhiza; usually associated with a tree species. Mycoheterotrophs are usually non-photosynthetic & their mycorrhizas, normally monotropoid. Some form both endo & ectomycorrhizal structures.
