Definition of Lettuce Mosaic Virus

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

Lettuce mosaic virus (LMV) is a seed-borne virus and doesn't affect the edibility of the crop but it disfigures and distorts the leaf and coloring. LMV can infect spinach and peas, along with Osteospermum and certain wild plants, which act as a host. One of the ways to reduce the risk of having crop failure is to purchase tested seed, noted as "MTO" (mosaic tested, zero).
