Aloe cancer is a malformation of an aloe plant (most often the tip of the flower, but in severe cases, the leaf bases or sometimes the entire leaf/leaves, creating a bizarre, cancer-like growth that is not only disfiguring but can damage or even kill the plant. It is caused by an aloe mite, or gall mite, in the Eriophyid family and the species Aceria aloinis. Below is a shot of aloe cancer and here is an article on the subject:
