This book is great! There is a section on understanding plant color, shapes and texture. A how to on selecting, planting, and maintaining. This is fine and dandy but the very best part of this book is the "mix and match section." Thanks to the spiraled pages and the neat 3x5 cards, you may design your garden over and over again. There are four section of plants from top to bottom according to height (tallest to shortest). The cards have close up photos so you can really see if you like it! On the back of each card is the details of each plant such as height, habit, amount of sun and water, and peak season. There is much much more to this book. I have given this book as a gift and all from the best gardeners to the "brown thumbs", love this book!
