I agree whole heartedly with the review by GrowinEngrGirl. There is little to add other than it is also a bit humorous in places. Of the books I have read some have been more technical but none more practical. It is a great read for the either the novice or experienced orchid grower.

This is a great book for the beginner as well as the more experienced orchid grower. There are complete instructions, as well as tips from personal experiences of the author, on several methods for growing orchids in a windowsill, under lights, in a greenhouse, or outdoors. There is a section on purchasing orchids and what to look for, as well as a listing of some of the more common and popular genera with their growing requirements and photos.

The care and feeding section covers in depth things like how much and how often to water, fertilization, potting methods and mixes, mounting, pests and diseases. A section is even included on orchid reproduction and hyridizing.

Of all the orchid books I own, this is the most comprehensive and easy to read. It is full of gorgeous photos, and very well put together.
