I started out borrowing the original edition from a friend and now own the updated version. The is a great book for those of us who lack design skills. I appreciate her descriptive rationale behind each garden design and I also appreciate the details on each of the plants she lists. While I won't be following any of the designs to a tee (though I'll come close with the moongarden) I will be using this book as inspiration in changing the rest of my landscape. My only regret is that I don't have enough space or income to implement each and every garden in the book.
