Although this book was written before digital photography became common, the sound principles and information is relevant today.

Mr. Nichols goes into detail about light, composition, reflections and color that is useful to all media forms. He explains how aperture, shutter speed and focal lengths can change the photograph completely without over complicating the process. The detailed explanation about the single lens reflex cameras (SLR) points out how things work in an easy to read format.

Beautiful English gardens photographed perfectly are eye candy, and each image is noted with the equipment, shutter speed, aperture and time of day.

Excellent publication!
