Ms Caillet is the unrefuted expert on all things "Louisiana Iris"! This is an interesting addition to the library of a southern iris gardener...

Also, another recommendation is The Louisiana Iris ~ The History and Culture of Five Native American Species and their Hybrids by Marie Caillet and Joseph K Mertzweiller

I own this book. It's a great book on Louisiana Iris. 211 pages (in hardback) beginning with the history of the Louisiana Iris. Other chapters include: Flower Arranging, Landscaping with LA's, Hybridizing, Culture and Care of the Louisiana Iris, and more.

Other Louisiana Iris highlights in this book - consists of information on Water and Bog Gardens, Flower Color Genetics, Award Winners, Types of Form, etc. I've learned a lot reading this book.

There are also some wonderful color photos splashed through out this book as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy those as well. There is something here for all Louisiana Iris growers.
