Positive | JC09 Tiffin, OH (1 review) July 30, 2006 | I have used Ohio Earth Foods for several years, well over 5. My garden plants just love it. Especially tomatoes. I like to fertilize entire my garden lightly and then put it the Revita directly in the seed furrow or add to the hole when I am transplanting. No need to worry of burning the starts. I wish the bags were smaller. But like the other writer commented, they can tell you how much to buy for the best shipping rate.
Good service, knowledgeable. I have called about pest control and was advised of which product to use.
I have visited the office and was treated warmly.
Good product(s), good service, good company.

Positive | kennyr Saugus, MA (Zone 6a) (8 reviews) March 26, 2006 | I must second this positive comment. I have been doing business with Ohio Earth Foods for a few years now, and still have been unable to locate any decent local supplier in Eastern Mass. Aside from the high shipping costs, at least you usually get a decent discount on shipping via UPS, IF you order more than 200 pounds. It seems that UPS offers a special rate for 200+ pound orders from a specific location. MY 500+ pounds of assorted stuff was about $175 from Ohio to eastern Mass.
Wish they set up a web site ordering process. They said that it would be difficult to calculate the individual shipping costs due to various weights and distances though. At the very least, they do need their email address posted on their web site. |
Positive | r1ckm (1 review) March 18, 2005 | I have done business with this company, which provides fertilizers and pest control alternatives to the 'organic industry,' for a number of years.
They have always been polite, helpful and prompt. They even started their own delivery service (in Ohio, at least) to help offset the frequently outrageous cost of freight.
Should you need Organic soil amendments or other supplies, I recommend them. |
