Positive | Rollandh Wilmington, NC (13 reviews) March 19, 2012 | Have now purchased twice from Countryside. They have a great selection of soil amendment products geared to the organic gardener. I can't always find such an extensive variety of materials locally so I am willing to pay the extra transportation fee to get what I really want for my soil. I can't get any large-size trace mineral products like Planters II and Azomite which I am now obsessed with given the poor native soil we have here in southeastern NC. The products are very affordable so you just have to realize that it would cost as much in gas to drive to a place which carries these hard to find products as it would to have them send by UPS. Also, I have come to rely on them for inexpensive humates as well. Very well-designed website that allows you to calculate what you feel you can afford and then they deliver very promptly--I had a Thursday to Monday turn-around for my most recent order. |
Positive | tomatolarry Dalton, GA (10 reviews) February 11, 2012 | I placed an order with Countryside for 2 bags of Azomite in Jan. 2012 and was very happy with the results. Their customer service was excellent and the order was processed and shipped immediately. I definitely will order from them again. |
Positive | honeybee1967 Richmond, VA (1 review) June 15, 2009 | I took a trip up to Countryside and purchased all of the natural ingrediants that I needed for my organic garden. Since we have clay soil I tilled in the products that I purchased and now what a beautiful garden have I. I also ordered and met their truck and was very pleased with the service that was provided to me. I will always do business with Countryside Natural Products as long as I garden here in Virginia. By the way, I sent this info to Dave's Garden the year before last. I hope others will use them. I am a Master Gardener Trainee and have recommended Countryside to all of my acquaintances. Most of them are very interested in organic gardening. Another one of my friends had her relative stop by the store and he purchased all of the ingrediants and came down to Highland Springs and tilled her garden with the products. You should see her garden. It is beautiful. Thanks so much. To all: I highly recommend this company because of the high quality of their products and especially their customer service. |
Positive | rosa18 Bartlett, IL (Zone 5a) (11 reviews) August 31, 2007 | Wonderful company, the prices are wonderful even though I had to have items shipped it was well worth it. Help with a soil report and recommended ammendments. Quick shipping. This is now my favorite place for organic soil ammendments. especially since bulk items are not available in my area. Love them!

Positive | Zeppy Shenandoah Valley, VA (Zone 6b) (8 reviews) March 26, 2005 | Wonderful, personal service, fantastic products and great advice. The folks at Countryside are happy to look over the results of your soil sample -- whether you're a farmer or a backyard vegetable gardener -- and make suggestions for organic amendments. They're not so eager to make a sale, though, that they'll suggest something you don't need: twice now they've told me, "why don't you hold off on purchasing this and see if the leaves and straw you added brings up the pH." Wow. When I thanked one gentleman there for his time in going over some soil ideas with me even when I didn't end up buying something, he said, "oh, well, it's not about the money." They just want to help people do the right thing by the earth. And that's why I'll keep going to them. On March 30th, 2005, Zeppy added the following:
It doesn't hurt that their organic soil amendments beat the local Farm Bureau's prices by 30% or more, too. A 50 lb bag of greensand cost about $8.50... at the farm bureau a 40lb bag cost $11.00. They also carry organic feeds for pets and livestock. I'm getting some laying hens, so I'm thrilled. |
