Horrible!! Still havent recieved my items after 2 weeks. They said was delayed because of my payment which was a lie because i had tracking on my payment. They didnt send via fedex/ups like I paid for they sent with freight shipping who wont deliver to my residence so I had to make special arrangments. The guy was a dick to me over email and continuously lied about my order. Never again will i buy from them and i hope you dont either. Its a crappy drop shipper/middle man.
I ordered a total of 12 items from horticulture source that amounted to just under $900. They emailed a day later asking for an extra $180 in shipping, which i promptly paid. Then they emailed AGAIN the following day wanting another $170 for shipping. I tried to contact customer service and got jerked around all day. They said they would call me back and never did. I called 5 times and got zero help. Then I was told they only respond to customer service claims via email. So, I sent a few emails and never got a reply, until a day later. When they finally replied they refunded my order, but not the extra $180 they charged me for shipping. So now I am out $180 and have no new products coming.

I had purchased a CFL grow lamp fixture and chose/paid $33.64 for USPS Priority Mail shipping. Horticulturesource.com however shipped my lamp fixture via UPS Ground. I notified them of their error by send a message and this was the reply I was given: "Jesse, Some of our warehouses are unable to accommodate USPS Priority Mail. Per our shipping and returns policy, we reserve the right to ship items via an equivalent shipping method when necessary. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. My experience with Horticulture has been very bad. I ordered on line OZN-1 ozone generator and paid for it on 5/19/13. Their website says it may take up to 3 days for the item to ship or update. After 4 days and the status had not changed from being readied for shipment, I sent an email inquiry but no response. I then sent a second email and still no response. Today (5/28/13) I called and was only able to talk with a "complaint taker" who said she would get back with me. Later in the day, the status was changed to backordered! No one has contacted me with any sort of explanation. The customer service from this company is really lousy! Buy from them at your own risk.

i ordered from this company a few weeks ago and everything was fine till the packages where to be delivered. i missed my delivery for the first package so for some unknown reason they recalled the other package i was waiting for. i was never contacted by the company about the situation so i emailed them. a week later i called and they said they would email me about a solution. a few days pass and still no response. i called back and asked to speak with a manager. they told me they can not talk to me over the phone so i cancelled my order. they responded to that and sent a cancellation email saying they can only refund me 50% of my money. if you want costumer service or even the products you paid for DO NOT USE THIS SITE. RIP OFF. THEY HAVE MY MONEY AND I HAVE NOTHING.

I purchased a Rapitest 4 way soil tester from Horticultural Source. It was supposed to test light, PH, Moisture, and fertility of soil. It does not function. It was shipped on time in original packaging. When I e-mailed them to complain they did not respond. They sent me customer review and I gave them a scathing review. Until now I have not heard from them. I do understand that thing do not always work but there is ne excuse for ignoring unhappy clients. They tend to tell everyone they know and write reviews like this one.
Received what I paid for and they had the best prices! Their customer service always answers my questions and fixes any issues. And they do have a phone number and email which they actually check!!! A+++

Horiticultre Source (www.horticulturesource.com) committed fraud. They also had the wrong severely cheaper product sent to me and woudl not return. They also charged me 3 times the amount it should have been for shipping and refused to adjust it. It is run by and developed by a web developer

is a terrible business. They don't actually do anything. It is a just a website which finds products listed by others and takes commissions on sales. They don't own or have in stock any of the items on their website. That said, you can get anything they have from another website for cheaper.
Don't buy from this terrible company as [email protected] does not fix issues they will just be jerks.

The worst customer service ever. They won't honor their policy. They shipped me the wrong item and would not take it back even if I shipped it to them and paid the shipping. They won't negotiate. They just email me saying the problem is solved, but it is not I still have the wrong item and they are not sending me the right item. Extremely bad service. I paid $60 for an item that cost $20. I was trying to order a $60 item. They they sent me the cheap version of what I wanted and kept the cash. This is the worst customer serivce I have ever had. I'll never buy from them again.
Ordered PCO Foggers and some mini jets. Received mini jets and found that foggers were back ordered till who knows when (as you cannot contact these people by phone and they will not return emails) so I had to file a dispute with paypal. I was offered a refund for the foggers but was charged $12 for 4 $.50 jets. This is not about money rather the poor customer service I had received. These guys might be a fraction cheaper than the other guys, but trust me when I say it's not worth it! There are several sites on the web that have much better service.

I purchased the largest size Halls Optimum Greenhouse from these guys in 2008, since they had this for the best price.
I received everything in good shape via a trucking company, which was scheduled easily with the trucking co (they called to deliver).
I did not have to contact customer service after the fact (since I did not have any problems) so I can't comment on that experience, but they were responsive to my pre sale questions re: the integral base, etc. which were sent by email.
The minor issues I had (discrepencies in instructions) were due to the manufacturer (Halls) and resolved by contacting Halls. If anyone is interested in the Halls Optimum line I would recommend HorticulturalSource.
PROS: Competitive Prices, large selection of products
CONS: Extremely poor customer service, unreachable via telephone, only email, prone to errors in thier shipping process because they do not actually ship out the products themselves.
Do yourself a favor, find another retailer that has the product you're looking for. Thier customer service is the worst, and you simply cannot get them via telephone.
I ordered a snapture snapstand from these guys since their price was so low. When the package finally came, it was the wrong stand. I tried getting a hold of them via telephone,...have fun speaking to the recording, they simply do not accept telephone calls, only emails, which take them 24hrs to respond to. After explaining the error via email, one return label was sent to me, the problem is, it was two boxes. After one month of back and forth emailing, a second label was finally sent. After shipping back their screwed up order, I noticed no refund had taken place. I had to call and complain to get my refund processed. The kicker is that they refused to refund the shipping charges for the product they incorrectly shipped to me.
Save your sanity, shop somewhere that appreciates your business.
