Negative | Fishman1 Selden, NY (16 reviews) March 23, 2016 | Salesman had terrible communications skills, only heard what he wanted to hear and did not answer the questions that were asked, unfortunate as some of the varieties of apples were interesting. |
Positive | woodston Bushton, KS (1 review) October 3, 2011 | Ordered from them for quite some time; excellent prices and feedback, fantastic prices. Have yet to lose any of their stock. MOST highly recommend to all! |
Positive | Wolfcastle West Lafayette, IN (Zone 5b) (12 reviews) May 2, 2011 | I placed a large order from Adams County Nursery this year and some of the trees I received still had the C&O tags on them. Based on my opinion of Adams, that ALONE would be enough for me to recommend C&O Nursery. However, I also ordered 3 trees directly from C&O this year and they all arrived well packed and in great condition.
Like others have commented, the shipping was somewhat steep at $20 on a $30 order, but that's to be expected when ordering small quantities of trees. Still, $16.50 per tree is pretty good.
My one complaint with C&O nursery is their online inventory database. One would think that you could go online, see what they have available, and place an order...however that is not the case because many of the trees listed in their inventory are already spoken for and are not available for sale. |
Positive | 5finadene3 Lock Haven, PA (9 reviews) June 14, 2010 | I ordered three apple trees using C&O's internet special price. The trees arrived on time. They were well packed and looked very good. The shipping charge seemed high- About $20 for a $30 order. C&O has great service. I have bought from them in the past and I'll buy from them in the future. |
Positive | greenerpastures Vancouver, WA (1 review) February 19, 2005 | I've just received all my beautiful 5'8" fruit trees; 2 apples (Honeycrisp, Top Export Fuji), 2 apricots (TOMCOTs) and 1 cherry (Van) ordered online from this nursery. I pre-ordered them in October. The trees arrived in perfect planting condition. The prices are amazingly low and the handling of my order was excellent!
They're very nice, helpful AND knowledgeable people. Family owned-like forth generation! They specialize in fruit trees. Obviously, I can't say enough in favor of this company, especially with the usual mail order problems I've come to expect from most other "nurseries".

Positive | TPM1 (2 reviews) December 21, 2002 | Last winter I happened across C&O`s web page and requested a catalog. They offered an excellent selection of fruit trees, and were very specific as to fruit size, coloring, quality, and ripening dates. They also offered many different rootstocks for soil conditions and size control.I called and ordered two dozen trees of the varaties, root, and caliper(diameter)I wanted, and also chose the shipping date I prefered. The trees arrived when expected and were excellently boxed. All the trees had well developed rootsystems.Every tree grew impressively this year(some as much as four feet). The peach trees set buds, and some of the apples grew fruit spurs,so i`m expecting a small crop next year. C&O is an excellent nursery to deal with ,and their trees are the highest quality i`ve found. |
Positive | AgTalker Tehachapi, United States (4 reviews) June 19, 2002 | Wow!!! These people grow awesome fruit trees. Customer service is excellent. Purchased over 30 trees. They will get my orchard business. |
