I am always curious about the statements companies make regarding guarantee/replacements for dissatisfaction etc. I ordered and planted an amaryllis belladonna from this company last year. When the plant did not sprout this spring and I contacted them they were pleasant and truthful about saying that it should have shown up by now and probably did rot. My feeling is that a responsible, well intended company that would like to keep you as a customer should say sorry we are out and what can we do to offer you something else to keep you coming back as a customer. In the past B & D Lilies has had a problem with carelessness in order preparation. I ordered 12 daylilies from them in Fall 1999. Two plants were received with unattached labels and another label fell off soon after I removed the plants from the box. One of the labeled daylilies took a second year to bloom and when it did, it was absolutely the wrong color. When does a white variety become red, and I still don't the variety name. I won't recommend B & D Lilies to anyone.
